Pre-Construction Services
HACT Construction’s extensive value engineering, life cycle costing, constructability review, estimating, scheduling and budgeting experience are the backbone of our pre-construction services. Planning in these early stages minimizes unanticipated construction costs, eliminates design–related issues that may hinder the schedule or budget, and can determine options to reduce costs without compromising quality. It is our responsibility to ensure that the building owner receives the most value for their dollar.
Very few building owners are set up to efficiently manage a construction project, which makes the option of outside construction management highly viable. Our fee-based construction management services make us responsible solely to the owner. HACT Construction serves as the owner’s advocate at every phase of the project. In this role, we offer advice and options based on our experience and research, ensuring the owner optimum use of all available resources.
The design/build process brings the building owner’s dreams to reality. This format takes advantage of HACT Construction value engineering, estimating, life-cycle costing, scheduling, and construction knowledge; allowing us to provide proactive support all throughout the project. When the architect and builder work together from the beginning, the owner receives the best-functioning, most-efficiently constructed building, without the problems that can arise when the contractor’s input is not incorporated in the design. Under our design-build services we can deliver a facility faster, at a lower cost and with minimal risk to our client.
HACT Construction typically performs selected construction activities, including concrete, carpentry and site work as well as the installation of doors, windows and hardware with our own personnel. Self-performing work gives us better control over critical aspects of construction and added quality control, providing the owner with a greater potential for cost savings.
